💪 The Three Dimensions of Health
Health: A state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (WHO definition). Health has three interconnected dimensions: physical, emotional/mental, and social.

All three dimensions are connected. Poor physical health can lead to poor mental health. Good social health supports emotional wellbeing. Exercise positively affects all three.

Regular physical activity has numerous physical health benefits that reduce the risk of chronic diseases and improve bodily function.
Reduced Risk of Heart Disease (CHD)
Exercise strengthens the heart muscle, increasing stroke volume and cardiac output
Reduces resting heart rate (bradycardia) - the heart works more efficiently
Lowers blood pressure, reducing strain on blood vessels
Increases HDL (good) cholesterol and reduces LDL (bad) cholesterol
