Express 60 as a product of its prime factors

Common factors: 2² × 3 = 12
HCF = 12
Find the LCM of 24 and 36
Solution (using prime factors):
24 = 2³ × 3
36 = 2² × 3²
LCM = 2³ × 3² = 8 × 9 = 72
Two numbers have HCF = 4 and LCM = 60. If one number is 12, find the other.
Solution:
HCF × LCM = a × b
4 × 60 = 12 × b
240 = 12 × b
b = 240 ÷ 12 = 20
