Model Answer:

Three stanzas move from present to past to future. Iambic pentameter creates reflective tone. 'Glad grace' (alliteration) contrasts with 'pilgrim soul' (metaphor). Final stanza 'bending down beside the glowing bars' -- imagery of ageing/regret. ABBA rhyme encloses memory
