🔀 Board Differences
Board specifications differ in assessment structure and emphasis. The core content is shared across boards; these are the genuine differences by board:
AQA: Two papers: philosophy of religion and ethics; study of religion (Christianity) and dialogues between philosophy/ethics and religion. Extended essays; no coursework.
OCR: Three components: philosophy of religion; religion and ethics; developments in religious thought. Essay-based with set text study.
WJEC/Eduqas: Component 1: philosophy of religion; Component 2: religion and ethics; Component 3: study of a religion. Plus a compulsory non-binding textual study.
CCEA: Northern Ireland's board: units on philosophy of religion, ethics and the development of Christian thought; synoptic assessment.
